THE STORY BEHIND OUR CASHMERE
At Montelu, cashmere is more than fabric—it’s the essence of refined Italian luxury. A harmonious blend of masterful craftsmanship, natural fibres, and forward-thinking innovation. Sourced with precision and care, our cashmere represents the pinnacle of knitwear—cherished for its rare softness, timeless appeal, and unmatched quality.
Our fibres originate high in the mountains of Mongolia and northern China, where goats thrive at altitudes above 4,000 metres. The harsh climate nurtures an extraordinarily fine undercoat—nature’s way of protecting them against temperatures as low as -40°C. This rare fibre is gathered just once a year, during the natural shedding season in spring.
Montelu cashmere is a quiet symbol of purity, patience, and excellence.
